If you look closely, a question mark (?) resembles an ear, which (at least, for me) means that the ability to ask a question entails the capability to listen. True enough, people ask all sorts of mundane questions every day, but the more appropriate ones, or at least those that are sensible, are asked by people who willingly hear someone else’s opinions and experiences.
The
world is full of unnecessary murmurs and echoes that can easily distract anyone. Gone
are the days when people listen to the stillness of the world to understand the meaning of things and situations. We have been cluttered by the noise around
us, and we oftentimes forget the need to listen.
Sometimes,
it does not hurt to go back to the basics.
Silence these days has become a rare commodity.
ReplyDeleteThis is true. Listening is now a luxury. People are always busy, noisy, or in a hurry. Most of them put so much priority on being independent, as the modern generation calls it, but they completely forget about independent thinking. Nice blog. You have yourself a new reader.
