Untitled No. 7

The loneliest star shines twice as bright
compared to any other star
in the belt of demi-gods
and zodiacs and unnamed monsters.
There is no light of its own
not even the tiniest spark
that can command a galaxy of its own
to thrive or exist or dance in nothingness.
Yet a sun shines comfortably
mocking its propensity for half-truths
and half-lies.
Solitude drives it mad:
forcing it to absorb all things bright,
but not beautiful
like melancholy and desire.
Still, it carries light and warmth within
like how fireflies store the world
in the coldest and darkest night
to survive and breathe and then later explode.
